Barnhart, dealer operator of Smith Buick-Pontiac-GMC , is a 30 year resident of Rutland Town with her husband Joe, owner of Aldous Funeral Home, Inc. Shirley, a business/retailing graduate of Green Mountain College, was a realtor in the Rutland area for 15 years. Shirley and Joe partnered in 1988 to purchase Smith Buick-GMC from Stewart Smith. In 1993, Shirley became the dealer operator. In 1997, Joe and Shirley obtained the Pontiac franchise and changed the name to Smith Buick-Pontiac-GMC. Kelly has joined her family by involving herself in many aspects of the business. Having been born and raised in the Rutland area, Clarence (also known as Junior), has been involved in the automobile business for more than 35 years.
